Minister for Finance and Deregulation, Senator Penny Wong, has congratulated Peter Hodgett on his appointment to the board of Medibank as a Non-Executive Director.
Peter brings extensive experience to the Medibank Board, Senator Wong said. His directorship experience on both private and public sector boards will be of great value to Medibank.
Mr Hodgett is currently a director of CBAs major superannuation and wealth management businesses and Colonial First State Investments Ltd and he previously held executive directorships with AMPs Life Insurance, Funds Management, Superannuation and General Insurance businesses, as well as Suncorp Portfolio Services Limited.
Mr Hodgett was also a government-appointed member of the Life Insurance Actuarial Standards Board from 1997 to 1999.
Medibank is continuing to grow and evolve and I am sure Mr Hodgett will make a valuable contribution to the companys operations, Senator Wong said.
Mr Hodgett has been appointed to the Medibank Board for three years, until 20 June 2016.
