SOUTH AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL LABOR TEAM

LOUISE MILLER-FROST
LABOR CANDIDATE FOR BOOTHBY

The Leader of the Australia Labor Party, Anthony Albanese, and the entire South Australian Labor team are delighted to announce respected NGO head Louise Miller-Frost as its candidate for the South Australian seat of Boothby at the upcoming Federal Election.

As the CEO of St Vincent De Paul Society, and as the former head of women’s crisis accommodation service Catherine House, Ms Miller-Frost’s dedication to our community is clear.

With qualifications in public health, business management and communications, Ms Miller-Frost is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and also sits on the board of the Animal Welfare League.

Ms Miller-Frost said she had become increasingly frustrated at the Morrison-Joyce Government’s neglect of services and the environment, as well as their lack of accountability and leadership.

“I want to be a part of a government that helps Australians to get ahead,” Ms Miller-Frost said.

“Everywhere you look it is getting harder for South Australians to manage due to low wages growth, reduced public services and increasing private debt.

“I want to be part of an Albanese Labor Government that is energised and focused on creating well-paid jobs, looking after our natural environment, and delivering a better future for the people of Boothby.”

“I couldn’t be happier to have someone like Louise put her hand up to represent the people of Boothby,” Anthony Albanese, Leader of the Australian Labor Party, said.

“I want people on my team who will work to not just help get Australia back to where it was, but make sure we build back stronger than we were before the pandemic. Through her long career, Louise has shown she will be that person for the people of Boothby.”

“Louise is a woman of integrity and principle, who knows that governments can make a difference to people’s lives,” Senator Penny Wong said.

“Whether it’s delivering good, secure jobs for South Australians, taking action on climate change to seize the opportunities in renewable energy, or delivering the water promised to South Australians – Louise would be an excellent representative for the people of Boothby.”
