It was great to spend the day in Ipswich, 30 minutes out of Brisbane, where I had the pleasure of meeting local business owners and members of the community and participating in Community Cabinet.

I’d like to thank Jim, the owner of ‘Cactus Espresso Bar’, for his hospitality (and the excellent coffee) and everyone who came along to say hello.

It was great to spend some time with Shayne Neumann, the local Member for Blair, talking with local business owners and residents and answering their questions.

I was also joined by the Minister for Housing, Homelessness and Small Business, Brendan O’Connor, to announce changes that will push government agencies to pays invoices on time. You can read more about the announcement here.
